A girl was born to a resident of Almaty on train No. 352 “Almaty-Oskemen”

Young mother Zhansaya Kokenova, in her last month of pregnancy, was traveling on train No. 352 from Almaty to Oskemen. After the train departed between Yekasha-Aiyrtau stations, the passenger began having labor contractions. The conductor Bagdagul Abdakulova and other train crew workers provided the necessary assistance and safely delivered the baby. The girl was born on February 7 at 1:30 p.m. 

The train crew acted according to the job description and an ambulance was called to the nearest station. All necessary conditions were created in the carriage to provide assistance to the woman in labor.

Upon arrival at Oskemen station, the newborn girl and her mother were received by ambulance workers.

Conductor Bagdagul Abdakulova has been working on the railway for more than 23 years. This is the first time in her practice. According to the train conductor, everything happened spontaneously.

It should be noted that train crew employees are constantly trained in first aid to act in unusual situations. Over the past 3 years, 12 babies have been born on the trains of Passenger Transportation JSC.
