157 bridges will be built during the construction of new railways in Kazakhstan

As part of the implementation of the Dostyk-Moiynty, Darbaza-Maktaaral, and Almaty bypass infrastructure projects, over 500 artificial structures are being built, including 157 bridges. The length of some of them reaches 480 meters.
Thanks to the construction of new railways, domestic construction companies have developed competencies, knowledge, and skills in the field of construction of railways and artificial structures. Plants have increased their capacity, modernized production facilities, and increased the number of highly qualified blue-collar workers.
The share of Kazakhstani content in work and materials during the construction of new lines is 85%. Over 12,500 qualified specialists are involved. For the construction of new railway lines, about 150 thousand tons of rails and more than 2 million reinforced concrete sleepers will be purchased from domestic plants.
A multiplier effect from the projects being implemented is noted. Over 20 years, KTZ will return 543 billion tenge with interest to the National Fund and provide tax revenues to the budget of more than 4 trillion tenge, of which 102 billion tenge will be received during the construction period.
