KTZ held an annual technical seminar with the participation of KTZ-Freight Transportation, KTZ-Passenger Locomotives, and Alstom, manufacturer of the KZ8A and KZ4AT series electric locomotives.

"Our history with Alstom spans over 11 years. During this time, we have built mutual trust, professional collaboration, and sustainable work processes. Thanks to our partnership with Alstom, we have managed to create one of the most reliable locomotive fleets in the region," noted Asan Umbetov, General Director of KTZ-Freight Transportation.

The seminar discussed not only technical issues but also systematic improvements in locomotive operation, increased reliability, optimized maintenance processes, and the search for new solutions for long-term development.

KTZ operates 180 KZ8A series electric locomotives. Thanks to the prompt support and high level of service from the domestic locomotive manufacturer, EKZ LLC, the locomotive fleet's reliability rates consistently remain at 96%, in line with the established 95–97% target and confirming the high quality of the equipment.

The seminar became an important platform for exchanging experiences, strengthening partnerships, and improving the efficiency of locomotive operations on Kazakhstan's railways.
