The following service areas are provided for servicing passengers and visitors at the Kostanay railway station:
Ticket offices: on the 1st floor there are 2 ticket offices of JSC "Passenger Transportation", 4 private ticket offices "Astar", "Atameken", "Astal", "Beket", work according to the regulations
Information desk: on the 1st floor of the station building, the person on duty for issuing certificates is an announcer, the assistant on duty to the station chief
Reference and information services through the information desk directly at the personal request of passengers. A visual notification is created by means of an electronic timetable board for passenger trains (1ed) Information board-1 (unit) reference and information stands, a stele with a timetable for passenger commuter trains. An audio alert over the loudspeaker, which notifies passengers about trips, departures and delays of passenger trains about the rules of behavior of passengers at the station about the list of services provided, videos are broadcast for passengers on the monitor (1 week).
Waiting room: 1 passenger waiting room on the 2nd floor with 90 seats, 1 ticket hall on the 1st floor, with 33 seats.
Stationary luggage storage: located in the basement.
Recreation room: on the 3rd floor there is a recreation room, including a mother and child room.
Sanitary units: two sanitary units are located on the 2nd floor, paid toilets are located in the basement.
The following conditions are provided for servicing with limited conditions and low-mobility groups of the population at the Kostanay railway station:
- in the waiting room on the 1st floor there are places for wheelchair users;
- a wheelchair for persons with disabilities is provided free of charge;
- a specialized induction panel for hearing-impaired passengers is installed in the information desk;
- tactile mnemonic that allows visually impaired people to get information;
- tactile track;
- the sound mnemonic is located on the 1st floor
- Call button to call the device to open the entrance to the station building;
- pictograms are installed in the hall
-the stair lift for people with limited mobility is located on the 1st floor;
- a specialized payphone - a telephone for people with limited mobility is installed on the 1st floor;
- toilet for persons with disabilities is located on the 1st floor;
- parking spaces for people with disabilities are provided on the forecourt;
- ticket office No. 4 for persons with disabilities, located on the 1st floor;
Medical center: located on the 1st floor of the station building,
Stationary luggage storage, paid toilets are located in the basement.
The Museum of "military and labor glory of railway workers" is located on the 1st floor.
Shopping boutiques and catering areas: located on the 1st floor boutiques with food, printed products, consumer goods, cellular communications, cafes, bistros, mobile payment terminals, ATM of the People's Bank, mini-market, souvenir boutique and soft toy boutique, tea and coffee machines, lottery tickets, cellular communication, LOTTO terminals).
Electronic – mechanical clocks are installed on the 1st floor of the station building ticket offices -12 (pcs), on the station building -2 (pcs).
To strengthen measures to ensure the protection of the building and the territory of the station, as well as to prevent terrorist acts and ensure the safety of passengers, employees of the security unit and employees of the linear Department of Internal Affairs (LOP) are on duty at the Kostanay station around the clock.
To ensure security, the following is provided:
- Voice notification
- Security alarm system
- Automatic fire safety system;
- Video surveillance system of the station platform building with screen output to the control panel of the LOVD
- Inspection equipment installed - 3 (three) sets of inspection equipment, of which 2 (two) from the city and 1 (one) from the platform side.
