Kokshetau 1st class Railway Station – was built in 1981, this is the third building since its opening. Originally it was a small panel house, after a new station building was built in 1949.
In 1981, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich Kunaev took part in the opening of the station. Simultaneously with the construction of the station, the entire railway changed. The movement of trains from diesel traction was transferred to electric locomotive. New ticket sales technologies have been introduced.
The main purpose is to ensure the needs of passengers in transportation, security, provision of services.
Conditions have been created for low-mobility groups of the population.
