Atyrau Railway Station has been operating since 1972. The building is designed for 500 passengers. 3 railway receiving tracks are connected to the station building. The building area is 3744.8 sq.m. The station consists of 3 floors and an additional technical floor. There are 205 seats in the passenger waiting room. The outdoor parking area is designed for 100 seats.
Passengers are boarded and disembarked at the level of the second floor of the high platform and through an underground passage on 2-3 tracks.
Tracks No. 2 and No. 3 are provided for the reception of trains formed from TMZ cars (new and old type), KVZ, PRC and suburban electric trains, including regional trains "Talgo".
