KTZ: A new step in the implementation of the Project "Construction of a container hub based on the port of Aktau"

On September 20, 2024, within the framework of the 8th International Silk Road Exhibition in Xi'an (China), KTZ Express JSC (a subsidiary of KTZ), Lianyungang Port Group LLC and Aktau Sea Trade Port NC JSC signed constituent documents of a joint venture for the implementation of the project "Construction of a container hub in the port of Aktau".

The project to create a container hub received the support of the governments of both countries and is being implemented within the framework of the global initiative "One Belt, One Road". The implementation of the Project will strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the international logistics system and open up new prospects for the development of the transport and logistics sector.

The location of the container hub along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), which is becoming one of the most important links in the Eurasian transport system, will further increase the attractiveness of the route and increase the volume of transit traffic.
 

The Port of Lianyungang is a strategic partner of KTZ Express, with which cooperation has been ongoing for more than 10 years. During this time, two joint projects have been implemented: the Kazakh-Chinese terminal in the Port of Lianyungang and the largest dry port in Central Asia, Khorgos Gateway.
