JSC NC KTZ implemented infrastructure projects on key corridors of the transport and logistics hub of Eurasia

 

On December 6, 2017, the Head of State during the Day of Industrialization in the mode of the National teleconference launched the work of logistics facilities built by JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.

Among them there are objects of the multifunctional ferry complex Kuryk and transport and logistics center in Shymkent.

In a test mode an automobile pier with hydraulic facilities has been launched to carry out a car ferry in the Kuryk port of the Caspian Sea.

The project was implemented within the framework of the execution of the order of the Head of State, announced in the Message of the current year "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness". The strategic document also sets the task by 2020 to ensure the growth of transit traffic to 2 million containers.

Naming the port of Kuryk as a key link in the transport and logistics system of the Trans-Caspian International Corridor, Vice President for Infrastructure Projects of NC KTZ JSC Baurzhan Urynbasarov noted that "in 2017, over 1 million 200 thousand tons of cargo were transshipped. The new car ferry complex will handle an additional 2 million tons of cargo annually. "

He announced the launch of new routes through the Kuryk port in the direction of Turkey and the countries of Europe.

The new transport and logistics center in Shymkent became next infrastructure facility opened during the National teleconference.

The completion of the construction of a large multimodal TLC of "A" class was reported by Sanzhar Elyubaev, Vice President for Logistics of JSC NC KTZ.

The launch of the Kuryk port and the multimodal TLC of "A" class in Shymkent will give an additional impetus to the development of the transport and logistics complex of Kazakhstan and the realization of the transit potential of country.
