From an administrator to a strategic partner

 

On October 26-27 of this year, JSC “NC “KTZ” held a seminar on talent management for the employees of HR functions of the Company, its branches and subsidiaries.

Over 70 HR specialists located in Astana city, including employees of the branch of JSC “NC “KTZ” – “Center for Evaluation and Development of the Railway Transport Employees” and the branch of JSC “NC “KTZ” – “Center of Business Transformation”, took a part in the event.

In order to involve the employees into the project “Implementation of the target model for human resources management”, representatives of the Business Transformation Programme of JSC “NC “KTZ” performed a presentation of the project and its discussion with the participants.

B. Zheksembin, lead of the Human Resources Management Team of the Business Transformation Programme of JSC “NC “KTZ”, represented the core directions and initiatives being implemented within the project.

The key goal of HR function’s transformation – is a shift from the role of supportive administrative function to a strategic partner’s role. In the eyes of the business, HR is currently positioned as a services provider delivering support and services. Pursuant to the target model, human resources management extends its functionality and influence: enhancement of personnel selection transparency, effective identification and support of talents, personnel evaluation, regulation of reimbursement system.

“By virtue of a dialogue with HR functions employees, the project team gets a valuable feedback. This gives an opportunity to identify issues of probable revision and adaptation of the processes to ensure compliance of correct work by direct participants”, - shares his view Baurzhan Zheksembin, the chief manager of the branch of JSC “NC “KTZ” – “Center for Business Transformation”.

HR specialists detailed the new processes, such as diagnostics and corporate culture change management, and social stability, personnel search and selection, HR administration. 

In follow up of the meeting that was performed in a productive stream a decision was taken to hold such meetings regularly.
